Cooler Temps and Rain?

A low pressure system, which early this morning, was located over central California will continue to move southward toward Arizona throughout the day. As the low pressure system moves closer to the region, the chance of rainfall will increase across the region later this afternoon/evening.

This system was able to tap into moisture from the south and with strong dynamics moving into the region, associated with the low, later today through tomorrow a chance of rain will be in the forecast. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. By Sunday evening into Monday the low should be well to our southeast, with clearing skies across the area.

The main weather story with this system will be the much cooler temperatures. As cold air moves into the region, high temperatures are forecasted to drop into the lower 60’s on Sunday and Monday with low temperature in the upper 30’s.

Overall, this system is not expected to be a huge rain producer, with temperatures being the main story.

Enjoy the cooler temperatures.
