What an end to 2021 in Phoenix! First, the Valley had the wettest Christmas Eve on record. Then it rained on Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, which set another unique weather record.

So how much rain fell? From Dec 24, 2021 through Jan 1, 2022, Phoenix Sky Harbor measured 1.22" of rain. For this time period, this ranks as the 8th wettest since records began in 1896. While certainly not the wettest, there was measurable rain on six days, which did set the record. The old record was five days set in 1906 and 1941.
